Last November, a delegation of auto repairers who are part of the Confartigianato from the province of Verona, took time to visit our company. The group was guided by Mr. Massimo Speri, President of the auto sector, to whom we asked a few questions.
How many workshops are there in the province that are joined with Confartigianato? In the municipality and province of Verona there are nearly 750 workshops.
What is the Association's role and how can we judge our workshops compared to the rest of Italy? After some years of good work performed by various managements and support from the Association, we arrived to some set goals: to operate with balance and solidarity and we organised technical and business training courses which give our partners constant updates that the new market demands ask for. In the province of Verona and generally in the northern region, the quality of our workers is undoubtedly superior compared to other parts of the country.
Will the auto repair division also be involved in the economic crisis that is hitting every part of the world? It certainly will but it is only right to make one distinction: the workshop industry will not undergo significant halts because the motorist, rather than substituting their car will take it in to get repaired; conversely, the difficulty of using cash will bring a bigger display of credit for clients . Our Association has to move along in order to sustain our workshops in some way.
What kind of comments do you have after visiting Zago Ltd.? We have seen a certainly important reality that honors the auto parts sector, not only in the Veneto region; we hope to collaborate with Zago Ltd. and with an entrepreneur that, with his modern vision, allows his clients to work at best. Alfredo Zago spoke to us about his innovative plans for our sector; we wish, also on Confartigianato Veneto's behalf, that his business will spread to the entire province of Verona.
